The legend of the Follatons

What if the mountain
shared a secret with you?

Mysterious little beings live in the forests and Alpine pastures of Bretaye, almost never seen: the Follatons. Inspired by the legends of the Vaud Alps, these mountain sprites silently watch over the places, their stories and their secrets.

This winter, they are finally stepping out of the shadows. For a handful of evenings, the train becomes a stage, the path an enchanted setting and the Maison de Montagne comes to life. Young and old are invited into their fantastic world of mystery, magic and poetry.

Drawing on historical facts, local anecdotes and Alpine legends, the adventure reveals a new side of the BVB railway, the landscapes of Bretaye and the Maison de Montagne. Children follow a suspenseful story, while adults rediscover familiar places… and see them through a child's eyes for an evening.

TPC (Transports Publics du Chablais) and TVGD (Télé-Villars-Gryon-Diablerets) present this show to celebrate the reopening of the BVB railway and the Maison de Montagne after months of renovation. The visual world was created by Camille Scherrer, an artist and designer based in Ollon.
